Boxing Tyson Fury Licence Suspended After Vacating Titles

The British Boxing board of control have suspended Tyson Fury’s licence to fight, a day after Fury vacated his WBO and WBA world heavyweight titles. It comes in the wake of the 28 year-old’s second withdrawal from a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko, after being declared “medically unfit” by his team.

Fury has endured a chaotic and controvertial recent history, famously removed his shirt in an April press conference: Fury has not fought since beating Klitschko in November 2015 to claim the WBA, WBO and IBF titles. Recent events may lead to Klitschko and Anthony Joshua, fighting for the vacant heavyweight titles.
